Tsura Plays Rugby?
I always kinda liked Tsura's fashion sense.
I'm trying to get a sense of her body type because it's so freakin hard to nail it down. I don't want her to be busty, and she doesn't seem like the type to have a lot of curves. But since she is a seventeen-year-old girl she will have some curves. I've been drawing her with a longer neck lately. Prolly because she's always looking down on people because she's the best.
That's T for ya.
And I'm trying to get in the habit of drawing strong calves on her since she is a fighter. And it's an opportunity to make this picture that much more interesting.
Either way, I whipped this up in like, a half hour.
Enjoy.

Encore Print-er-roonie
I did a mock cover for Encore because I feel like I should work on my pin-up skills as well as my sequential skills.
I'm still not sure how I want to draw this comic once it happens.
This'll prolly be a print for conventions so that I can have some original art in there and not get in trouble for having too much fanart.
Encore. Enjoy.

Gambit
I didn't use the sketch cards they gave me at KOKOMO-CON at the actual con since I was really busy, so I'm making some up at home.
I wish I had more of these cards to practice on. I like having a boarder like this and this paper is great for crayons and Sharpies.
Thanks to all of you who stopped at out Happy Moth Studios booth and got something, and even if you didn't, thanks for checking out our stuffs.
Thank you,
Courtney

Medic!
A medic sketch that I made for Ducky to use as an example at conventions.
Speaking of conventions, Kokomo-Con is this weekend and we're both so excited to go.

Ikasucon
Welp, Ikacuson is over and I'll say that I had an alright time. Most of the things that were wrong with it were my own emotional hiccups but even with those it was still really fun.
I love being at the Grand Wayne Center. That place is my home now four days out of the year and it's always so nice. They could get some new music stations other than elevator music and... elevator music.
It's always nice seeing all the people who dress up and even the ones who don't. I'm just happy to be in a nerd fair where I feel welcome.
Artists alley was full. Not one table was empty. Which is really unusual. We met lots of great people. Our neighbors were really nice and I can't wait to meet the Toon Twins down in San Japan again. Overall a nice community of artists around us.
It's really hard to talk about this when it happened almost two weeks ago. If you wanna read more, please visit my Deviant Art Journal: Here
Our next convention is going to be down in Texas but we won't be selling.
After that is KokomoCon down in Kokomo, IN. I'm excited for that one.
Cya 'round,
Courtney

Achievement: New Motivation, B*tches!
Courtney here, and good news: I've been demolishing Sweet Beat pages like mad, I'm ahead of schedual and that makes me so happy.
The other day, I felt like I wouldn't be able to make the deadline of May 7th. Then I remembered why I wanted to draw this comic: I want to be among the people I admire. It's a bit selfish I know, but I want to show the ones I admire what I can do. I bet it'd be really impressive if a couple of teenagers could have a table at the convention and had a 52 page, full color book. The story itself most likely won't last more than about 30-35 pages. I've got up to twenty five pages right now, not all finished mind you, but getting there. There's gonna be like, the rest of the pages we have in bonus material and fun stuff, so I'm excited to get started on that.
I'd also like to say that recently I had a phase where I was feeling insecure about my art. Like, it was nothing but 'anime' art and no one wanted to see it. Then, after a while of being emo, I was like: "You know what, if they didn't wanna see it, then don't look. There's always someone who wants to see my art." Then I was like *^* GOOOOOOOOOOO ARTTTTTATTTACK!!!! And so I did.
I'm just really buckling down for this, it'll be my first convention where I'm at a table selling stuff. I'm also thinking about selling at a con that I was reluctant to have a table at before. I don't wanna miss anything like panels or... meals. But there are times when there's just nothing to do. So I'm on the fence but I think I'm going to be selling at a con soon.
I don't even know if anyone reads these, but there here.
Thank you,
Courtney
